  • Comments: I thought this was a well run event. The post race food could've been better. I always love the post race food, and this was kind of a disappointment. Also, wasn't a fan of starting over an hour after the first wave. I guess there's not a whole lot that can be done here, with such a big race and all. I think the waves could be bigger, and therefore have less of them, but I understand the safety issues there.

  • Comments: A guy died. I didn't find out until aftewards, but it sure put a damper on my experience. Also, I found the race to be very lonely in the last wave. Not one of my favorite experiences since I had to wait hours and hours from when I got to transition until the race started.

  • Comments: My second year competing here (a very disappointing performance compared to last year), and I will continue to race here every year. An excellent race.

  • Comments: This was a great race. With the volume of people there, every contingency was considered and precautions made, it was extraordinary. There is only one thing I could have wished for and that was better post race food. And more direction. After I finished the race, someone took my chip and handed me water, but that was it. There were so many club tents that I didn't really know what was available to me as a racer. I found the food tent, and I saw a massage tent but the line was too slow and we wanted to leave. Other than that, I don't know if there was anything. It would have been nice to hear, "there is the food tent where you can get XYZ, and there is whatever other tents where you can get ABC". But also, I just did not like my ham sandwich at all, I could not finish it but I knew I needed to eat something on the car. The pretzel was nice, but half a pretzel (i only had half a pretzel in my goodie bag) for postrace food is really not enough. hence my crazy breakdown detailed

  • Comments: Love this race. Plan to do it again. Revised the report slightly to fix glaring grammar/typos. Added comment on nutrition that I forgot to mention.

  • Comments: As always CGI does a great job. Can't say enough about Larry and Michele. If you have not done so you have to do a CGI race.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too easy

  • Comments: Good race, always well organized and a great course. Overall I am very pleased; CGI/LinMark also corrected an initial error with my (and the entire second wave's) time; thanks! A few critiques: start the sprint SECOND...having them on the course before us is crazy, and the delay between closing the transition and the start of the oly is really, really long. Also, the only thing I ever want after a race is bananas, bagels w/pb, drinks (gatorade and water) and maybe some trail mix...the bags are a real downner and I don't eat most of the stuff in them. Great race.

  • Comments: This is a great race location. CGI (Michelle and Larry) and their volunteers do a great job with all of the CGI races, and this one was no exception. I love the Olympic distances too. I still don't know how far the bike course was, but it seemed like the perfect distance. The best part of finishing the long bike ride was not thinking, OMG, I've got to run a half/full marathon now !! A partially shaded 10K run is a great way to finish your morning !
