"This review was for the Eggbeater 3 pedals. I love them, just wish the cleats lasted longer."danimal123

Doesn't need a pedal wrench, just a large-ish allen wrench (can't remember the size) that you probably already have. Easy install.

(5)

Very easy system to get used to; the 4-sided entry makes clipping in a breeze.

(5)

Very little wear after a few thousand miles (on the pedals).

Only one size pedal. If you don't know how to adjust cleats, get a knowledgable person to help you.

(4)

Very comfortable to walk in (in MTB shoes).

(3)

Cleats are as adjustable as any other 2 bolt system. The cleats can be swapped for 15 degree or 20 degree exiting, but the pedal to cleat tension cannot be regulated.

(4)

Pedals are 5-star, cleats are a 3 (see below). The pedals are dirable and rebuildable.

(4)

Good bang for the buck, not too expensive, but the cleat cost brings this down.

(5)

Funky!

Never had to deal w/ CBros.

Nearly flawless. I use these strictly on my road bike, and w/ stiff MTB shoes have had no hot spot issues (the shoe has more to do w/ this than the pedal, despite what folks think). I even did a 3-day, 630 mile ride w/ these and they performed well.

Light, shed dirt/rain easily, cool-looking, easily serviced, not too expensive, very well-made.

MTB pedal, so it may not be everyone's cup of tea. The cleats are made of a soft alloy and wear out VERY fast, and unfortunately there's no aftermarket supplier, so youhave to buy the CBros. cleats ($20 a set).
