Pre-race routine:

Packed everything night before. Not a good night sleep. Early wake up, had more than an hour drive. Got packet, inked and headed to transition area.
Once set an organized started warm up.

It was fun!!!
Beautiful day in Parris Island, pretty impressive place! The combat pool is spectacular and huge!!!
The swim wasn't as chaotic as I expected. I was able to overtake without a problem.
Slow T1 but not bad.
A little deviation on the bike, (lack of signs) but not big deal. I think I averaged about 20.5 MPH, lots of room for improvement. The roads are pretty rough, I'm glad I had my clinchers.

I sucked a little less on the run this time, but still, dragging my big rear to the finish line......
Felt great and, nice event lots of great people, just another reason to keep doing this.
Don't have split times yet, total time was 1:08:22 about 114 overall out of almost 500.
I friend felt from his bike and dislocated his shoulder. Made me realize that just to be able to participate and cross the finish line in one piece, it's already a win...
