Pre-race routine:

Camped at State Park night before so didn't get the best rest but had oatmeal and coffee for breakfast. Clif bar about 1 hr before event.

Comments:

Feet were frozen from the swim so it took a little while to get my feet in shoes. Couldn't really feel the bottom of my feet.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing other than bring a heater, haha.

Comments:

Couldn't feel my feet at all. Should have worn socks for ride. Then as I racked my bike it fell over and hit the bike next to me. Didn't damage it but cost me some serious time.
What would you do differently?:

Wear socks when it is chilly outside.

Comments:

Really didn't think I would have anything left in the legs after the ride but surprisingly I felt really good. Had two GU's on the ride and I think the last one kicked in halfway through the run. Felt pretty good.
Post race
Warm down:

Waited on the wife and friends that were doing the female sprint with her. Forgot to end my race on the Garmin and was talking to the guy who finished right before me. So about 6 minutes passed by without me knowing about it.

Event comments:

I-35 was shut down so all the waves were late but it actually worked out because it let the sun come out and warm us up a little bit.
