  • Comments: The venue (Long Beach Island) is special to me, and I'm glad that Linda and Mark continue to conduct this logistically difficult event. It was after I read about this race last year that I decided to become a triathlete! The race was certainly well organized, plenty of volunteers, and the course was well marked. The ocean swim turned difficult as I explained earlier and that delayed the entire race but I'm not sure they could have done anything to prevent that. This was my last tri of the season and if I can I'm participating again next year.

  • Comments: Very well-organized race, but it started late and then the awards took FOREVER (we stuck around b/c Travis got 2nd place in his AG for the du - by default and despite a 20-minute delay due to a flat tire, but for his first multi-sport event ever, he was going to take whatever he could get!) because the race director just kept talking needlessly. Decent post-race spread, but you had to walk 3 blocks from the race site to get to it. All in all, a really nice race by the beach - I'd definitely do it again.

  • Comments: It was a very nice first race. I got to experience a lot, meet some great people, and I learned a lot about myself. I will definitely continue.
