  • Comments: Best triathlon I've been to so far. Well organized, lots of volunteers, several drink stations on the bike and run, and lots of food after the race.

  • Comments: As this is only my 2nd race and the first in the US, I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of volunteers who seemed genuinely proud of their race. From what I understand, this race is growing and reaching the point of evolving from a "club" race to a mainstream event - which is the source of my only criticism. The end of race award events were a bit amateur and lacked a professional "snap" that I witnessed at a smaller, club run tri in Germany. Overall though, I enjoyed myself, as did the others at the race. A lot of work went into it and the organizers pulled off a safe, fun, and competitive race.

  • Comments: I'll do it again. I probably would anyway, since it's local, but it's also well run and I like the courses.

  • Comments: This was a fun race. The biggest downside is that spectators need to arrive before 6:45am, because that's when they close the roads. That's not realistic for my family, so I didn't have anyone there to cheer me on. The volunteers were awesome and there were A LOT of them. Very organized event. Too bad the weather couldn't be nicer.

  • Comments: This was a good race, so different from the big Philly tri's I've done before, and it had a really cool vibe, more laidback and chill than the others. The swim started about 10 minutes late, but I understand there was some traffic, so maybe that was why. I got to transition at 5 so I guess I missed the traffic. Overall, I guess I'd like to do this again when I was in better headspace.

  • Comments: The race was a HUGE improvement from last year. From the swag bag to the changes in the race course. I would do this race again without a problem. If you didn't get something to eat, then it was your fault! IM had less food than he did. Dale, RD, had lots of giveaways and even gave out Heart Rate Monitors. The only negative comment was that the awards ceremony seemed like an after thought compared to the give aways. Lots of people swarming the table for giveaways and then, "Oh...Johnny won the 30 - 34". Who wants a free Zoot racing top? I ended up getting second overall and was very happy with that. I looked at the results and he made up his time on the run. He ran 6's while I ran 6:30's. Can't do much about that!! I PR'd and best of all, MATT finished and is now considering doing another one in Sept. HOW kick ass is that?!

  • Comments: This was a great race for me and in general. The food was good (pizza, fruit, whole wheat cookies) and the giveaways were awesome. I got a hammer gel flask, a hat, and a road ID. The volunteers were great and there was never any confusion as to where the course lead. Oh, but if you ask a volunteer if there's water anywhere and they say, "next stop", thats like a cop telling you to go 2 lights and make a right!!! My only possible gripe is that I would love to get a post race massage sometime. but when you finish BOP, the sign-up sheet is way too full and I may still be in line waiting. I guess massages are for the fast and furious and first to sign up. I highly reccomend this race and got to meet another BTer (Daniel Arnett- I forget your screen name) who, I might add, finished 2nd overall. AWESOME JOB! It was a great day and a great race. Oddly enough, my splits today were almost identical to the Philly OLY in June, but I think this was a harder course. Something must be going

  • Comments: USAT mid Atlantic Championship event so good level of competition. They did a good job taking feedback and changing the swim and run courses for the better. Great lake for the swim, deep clean, and the water even tastes good (did really mean to find that out). Lots of give aways and a dry release T shirt and a finishers towel. Good event and the weather cooperated.

  • Comments: This is an outstanding event in an area that is really ripe with triathletes. I have done this race all three years and it keeps getting better. (the first year was my very first triathlon) The swim is a lake swim with clear, clean water without a glare(tough to do at this time of day and changed for the better since last year) BTW, no wet suits as the water temp was 80.2 at race time. While I'm not a huge fan of the bike course, a double loop on the same road, I understand why it is done since there are really no other options. It is easy to get going fast and it has some good hills to test you a bit. It is smooth, in great condition and closed to cars. The run is shaded and in great condition. Overall a great race for all in the area. The only thing that might be changed for the better in my eyes would be re locating the food tent and awards area so that a presentation area would be possible allowing for better viewing and hanging around after the event (not that I'll ever win anything
