  • Comments: As always, the Blazers put on a personal, heartfelt race event. Raceday registration got off to a slow start, about 45 min. behind schedule, but with a 9am start time, there was plenty of time to get everyone situated in time. If you can travel to the eastern shore, than this is a great race to put on your schedule.

  • Comments: Would give the race a 5 but I wish they used timing chips. This race is so much fun, small, local, great atmosphere and surroundings. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was the perfect end to my first triathlon season.

  • Comments: Last year I was 3rd in my AG. I couldn't help but be a little disappointed in my performance this year. You don't have control over who shows up, but I felt like my time should have been better. When I analyze the results I improved on the swim (short course, but 4th in AG), and the run (2nd in AG, 25 sec better than last year). So despite the disappointing bike leg, there are some positives to take away from this race. It was a lost opportunity, but I can still be proud of my effort. In addition, it was a great experience to have friends and family at the race. I was very happy to see Brenda finish her second tri, especially since she was nursing an injured knee the week leading up to the race and the weather on the intended race day was so crappy. On Thursday while we were packing, she almost decided not to bring her gear. I'm so glad it worked out. I'm so proud of her! Dave got his first podium spot - 2nd in his AG! Chokes up the ole coach to see two of his athletes do so well. Sniff,

  • Comments: With the saving grace of the race dicrector's wife (THANK YOU GAIL!!), Regina was able to participate and the kids got to watch mom AND dad race. Any race that who's leadership is willing to go to such a length to support their athletes deserves the highest rank!

  • Comments: This is absolutely my favorite race of the year. Hats off to the RD for making the very difficult decision of moving the race to Sunday. Everything was very well organized and relaxed. What a great way to end the year.

  • Comments: What a weird weekend. On Thurs. with a dismal weather forecast for Sat. and my knee bugging me - I was thinking I was going to be leaving all my tri stuff at home. When the race was postponed I was hopefully that I would be able to get in at least part of it. Even the morning of the race - I was figuring that if the bike was really windy I would skip the run if my knee was hurting. In the end I finished the entire race with no additional damage to the knee (wooohoooo!). I want to say a great big "Thank You" to you speedy BT'ers I really appreciate all the support!!!!

  • Comments: After competing in four other races this year, this is still my favorite one. The course is interesting, its a good cause, the race is organized well, and there is no traffic. I'm going to put this one on my calendar every year.

  • Comments: I realized how much racing is in my head. The contrast between this race and the two previous, especially Dewey, was remarkable. I actually wanted to be racing and that made a big difference. In fact, I think I am even going to sign up for one more race this season.
