Comments: I've thoroughly enjoyed my 3 Melbourne marathons but i won't be back next year. The marshalls at the start that blocked off 8 of 10 toilets ruined my day. Time for Triathlons.

Comments: Sum up – would I do it again, not today but yes I would. As soon as I stop hurting I’d do it in a heartbeat. I now have a new target – sub 5hours and I can do that in the right conditions and the right training. As someone said to me with time the numbers fade but the achievement remains.

Comments: This is the first year that the race has been run by the IMG organisation and it certainly was much more professional than last year. This year was the 29th running of the event and they are promising a very much bigger and better event for the 30th anniversary of the race. I'll definitely be back next year! There are 14 "Legends" of the race who have run every Melbourne Marathon since the inception! Now that's impressive!
