  • Comments: I really like this small race. If the race people can make race morning chip & packet pick up a little more organized this would be a perfect race. Most of us know what we're doing anyway so it's not that big of a deal to help them along. Only being about an hour from Chicago this is a great Sprint race to take on and get a really good speed session in!

  • Comments: I don't think I will do this race again. We will see. They didn't have their stuff togeather when transition open and it cost me a good transition spot. They also didn't have any water stations around transition so you could get a drink when leaving for the run. The awards they did screwy too. The guy who won the whole thing was in my AG. They gave him his huge trophy and then also gave him the first place medal for his AG. That isn't suppose to happen. They told me thats how they do it at their race. He refused the medal and they still wouldn't give me the first place medal even though since he won the race that makes me first in our ag I always thought. Oh well. That irked me a lot.

  • Comments: Good race, especially for the first year. Biggest problem was probably the road that led to the start/finish/transition was a cluster-F, with bikes leaving and coming back on it, and runners doing the same, and nobody really knowing where they were supposed to be. But overall, it was done well.

  • Comments: Dismount line could have been marked better. The section leading in and out of course should have been segregated better. Bikers almost ran into runners several times. I would participate again.

  • Comments: Great job for an innaugural race. It was a lot of fun to get out there through the Oswego countryside. A lot of fast parts (potentially, if you are trained even in the least). There appeared to be quite a high percentage of locals and young people in the race so that was really cool to see so much local support and involvement even to the point of participation. A couple of intersections were not mashalled but hey, there's only so much police and volunteer staff to go around. I have nothing bad to day about this race and it sparked my interest in Sprint distance racing. Way to go Oswego! Watch video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=5PfXbNhEBy4
