  • Comments: good race - good course - nice and close to home=easy to/from. possible spring marathon next year - this race would fit nicely.

  • Comments: Fun race. Nice to be so nearby and ride my bike to the start and home again (no traffic/parking issues!). Elites are crazy stupid scary fast. Late addendum: I was wondering about my time and slightly disappointed when I got the printed results at the race finish - they had a computer station that printed out a little slip of paper that said I finished 2:10:18. I looked at my heart rate monitor just after the finish and it said 2:08 - just chalked this up to maybe my cheap Polar HRM doesn't keep accurate time - or so I thought. Now when I look at the online results, it gave me the finishing time of 2:08:44 - I think I will go with this result, because I really do believe it is more accurate.

  • Comments: Not bad for a 1st time event of ~5,000 total runners (full, HM,& 8k). Too few police & volunteers in spots. At least 2 water stations had just 1 very busy volunteer, and some intersections had no police while others had 2 officers. Kudos for plenty of port-a-lets. Farmer's Market (early) & bands (later) at finish were good post-race diversions.
