  • Comments: Rating ought to be 2.5 - 2.75. They moved the T2 this year so bike and run courses were slightly different. I didn't love it. It was packed into a parking lot at a hospital and it was pretty tight for parking and room. I want to like this tri, but the quality of it went down for 2014. I think next year I'll take a shorter drive and try out a race in Lubbock the same weekend.

  • Comments: I heard a lot of complaining about the 2012 event here, so I was worried that this would not be a good race. From my experience, the local police and fire dept had all the busy intersections under control, everything started on time and seemed to be well organized, there were plenty of aid stations along the route, and most everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Mark, the RD, was everywhere and a very positive, friendly guy who asked me how my race was. I would definitely do this race again!

  • Comments: I really enjoyed my HITS excursion. Other than the pain of a DNF it was a great weekend race experience. All the organizers were really nice. Everything seemed to go off well without a hitch and the transition area was top of the line. Definitely do this series if you have a chance.

  • Comments: Nothing spectacular about the race other than the nice transition area. I thought they could have used another aid station on the run course, and they only seemed to have warm water at them. I saw sponges on the ground, but none were being given out. So not a bad race, and for the money I'd say I got my value's worth. If they keep the prices the same next year I'll do it again. Marble Falls is a good venue. But I still think having the runners and cyclists on the same course is dangerous, and hope they fix that next year.

  • Comments: The HITS series does a good job. I've now done two of their races. The transition areas they set are the best. All stations are pre-agssigned by number...so while you may not get the spot you want, you are guaranteed of a spot all your own with your own storage box. So, you don't have to get to the race at the crack of dawn to grab a transition spot.

  • Comments: I was very disappointed in this race. Will not do again. No local managment. I was amazed no body got hurt. The post race food was terrible. For the high cost for this race it was not worth it.

  • Comments: the run and bike course are not the best, but overall organization was great. pre-race meal was nice. transition set up was one of the best I've seen.
