I know it'll be before June 1st, 2014. :P

Would have thought they'd move it back a few weeks/months...

I'll probably sign up this time...Sounds like it was a fun sufferfest...my type of race!

Wonder if it is another 2 week sell out or if we will have more time to think about it.

Great now I gotta get in some subtraction training. For a first year race it was extremely well organized - the wetsuit legal confusion. Will def be back in 2014

More than likely it will be something along the lines of Augusta. Probably sell out but not until 60-90 days before or so. Another couple years though of high temps though will cause dwindling number no matter how do the race...just ask White Bake, I mean White Lake.

I'm betting it will be a quick sellout. Also, even though it was hot, the course was forgiving with shade. I would much rather be hot and sweaty in Raleigh, with a ton of volunteer support, M-dot swag, etc., than trek to White Bake, even with a pretty swim.

Ironman website says registration is opening soon. I sent them an email to find out when "soon" is. Also to find out if 2013 volunteers get first shot...

d00d, raleigh is not IMFL! you're not going to get a first shot at a race that doesn't sell out in 25 seconds! i'm guessing it'll also be along the lines of Augusta...which sold out today....109 (or so) days before the race.

That is pretty fast for Augusta. I know the last few years it has been into july. Guess I need to get on the ball and get registered for the half Setup is doing up a Lake Norman the same day (dumb planning IMHO). They will start collecting overflows from people locked out of Augusta.

Just got an email this morning that registration opens at noon Monday, 7/15. $225 for the first week, bit of a price bump from the $199 this year.

Unlike last year, I have not found a link to the current registered participant list...

Thanks. I thought there had been one last year and was maybe just not looking in the right place this time.

No evidence for this, but a friend of mine is saying that the race might be sold out by tomorrow...

Correspondence with WTC just now indicates registration is running a little slower than last year. I asked them where the registration list was, and they said they don't have a live feed this time around. I will reach out to Active as well.

I'm officially in.

I'm surprised no one has started the water temperature discussions yet. We have a whole 10.5 months to discuss it. Fgump, that gives you ample time to build some more sophisticated models.

There's now way that a triathlon in NC in June would be wetsuit legal, right?
