Happy Independence Day all

heading out for a long bike ride as soon as I get thru my coffee (and the sun comes up!), hopefully about 45 miles. Have to be back in time to head into Philadelphia with the family.

14 mile run here, as soon as the coffee runs its course. Also have to get back to do the family-Fourth thing.

70-mile bike yesterday, including 40 with my brand new tri-training group.

I need to swim, but I'm not sure how long the pool will be open today. And there are about 4 million other things I need to get done today, too -not the least of which is clean this poor sad neglected house before people show up here! Do you suppose that if I chill enough beer that they won't notice that I haven't dusted?

Ok... now that I think about it some more, here's the plan:
yoga
running -which doesn't require anything to be open
circuit training -I can use DS's home weights if the gym isn't open, which I think it isn't. And if I run out of time and energy, the weights will just have to get postponed to tomorrow.

There you go!

Have a great training day -and if it's a holiday where you are, have a great celebration.

Andrea

Ok you coffee fiends, you are making me want one!  I usually drink tea, so I don't have any coffee around.  I think a run to Tim Horton's may be in order.

Just finished 45 minutes of Pilates....no more workouts planned today.  Race in exactly one week!!!

Happy 4th of  July to all who are celebrating

I LOVE TIM HORTON's!!! One opened in Portland ME a year or two ago to cater to all our Canadian tourists. I like their coffee and the donuts are small so I don't feel so guilty about letting my kids have them. Of course, there are no leftovers for me to nibble on....

We "discovered" Tim Horton's on trips to Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, several years ago.

I am planning a long 20 miles ride to my in-laws where we will have dinner and watch the fireworks. My husband graciously offered to drive the kids there so I can ride. He may bring his bike and ride once we get there.

10K this morning, not sure if I met my goal pace or not. It was a 'handicap' race, where they start you out in groups based on the national 10K record for your age. It theoretically gives everyone an equal chance at finishing first (so, for instance, the 70-year-old women start 17 minutes ahead of the 20-year-old men). But then you have to add (subtract? No, add) your handicap onto the finish line clock to get your actual running time.......arithmetic is impossible when I've been running. Between 7:40 and 7:50 pace, but I wanted it to be 7:40 and I don't think I quite made it.

Then hilly biking with a couple of friends, did 15 miles and threw in the towel. I'm beat.

Have a good 4th, everyone!

I RAN THE PEACHTREE ROAD RACE 10K IN 58:08! My goal was to beat a 10 min mile and I beat my goal by nearly 4 minutes! I've posted a race report, although it wasn't too detailed. Photos coming soon!

Whit! That's awsome!

I did 2/3'rds of an Olympic today. Swam ~1500m and biked 32 miles. Wooooo!

I definitely need a road bike though. I make good time on my mtn bike, but it's not the most comfortable position if I need to get aero, and with the headwind I had today, more aero certainly would have been nice.
