Subject: MTB Road Tires - Quick Size Question
So my MTB runs 26x1.95 on the front & 26x2.1 rear

I want to put slicks on there and perfromancebikes has some that go down to 1.25 for MTB - does that sound a little small ?? i'd heard 1.5 was as low as i should consider going ??

thanks

1.25 should be fine. You'll still have plenty of air space for most pinch-flat situations. I wouldn't go less than 1.5 for any off-road situations though.

before getting a road bike, i put 1.25 tires on my mountain bike and never had any problems.
