Hey all,  I'm 29 and started training for my first tri (8th Oct!) back in March/April.  I used to be a competitive distance swimmer in my teens but since then I've done pretty much nothing and piled on so much weight.

I've gone from not being able to run at all to running 10km+ in just 4 months as well as losing 35kg so far!  I'm really excited about doing Tri's.. can't wait!  I'm also doing the Sydney City2surf run in 6 weeks.

I just love being addicted to fitness again! Cool

Hi storm, well done on the weight loss and fitness gain, great stuff!  I'm in Perth (where it's f#$king freezing) and our C2S is 8 weeks away.  What distance is your first tri?

Thanks for the welcome

My first tri is only a shorty 300m/9km/3km but the plan is to step it up to the sprint distance in December.   My goal is a HIM at the end of 2013!

I could deal with it being cold over this side of the country but the damn wind lately... up to 65kph today!  not so fun
