Subject: RE: Bench Marks You should be following some type of plan and not just decide out of no where to increase miles unless you know what you're doing for rest week, rest days, long days, and interval days. 4 months ago (my first IM is next week ), my longest ride was 3:30 (on the trainer...uggg ) and my longest run was only 1:15. I mixed in a marathon in my plan, so my actual longest run was 19 miles at that time. I think I could have done a HIM then but I don't think I was mentally ready and it wouldn't have been that great. Are you following a plan right now? How far are your long rides/run at this time? |
