Yesterday I rode hte hardest ride ever, I think -- nearly 20 miles in 1hr 20 minutes. I upped the resitance setting a bit, so I was quite tired after. It was a new record, though, so I'm excited.
In other news, I'm perfecting my handstand. I decided at the beginning of hte semester that I was going to be able to do a side split and hold a handstand for about 15-20 seconds. I'm ALMOST THERE!!! So exciting, I just had to share my joy.

Cheers!
Dorian

P.S. Thanks to all who responded to my question about "clipless" pedals. I shall have to look into that.

Great job on both Dorian -- the handstand and your bike PB. Just be sure not to up resistance on the bike too much so you don't blow out your knees.

Okay, I'll bite. What is a sidesplit and a handstand? Or are you referring to something outside of cycling?

How long until you can do a handstand while riding?

A split? Ouch. I haven't been able to do that since I was about 8! :-)

You've got me thinking though. I need to try a handstand!

I think a side split handstand is a regular handstand with your legs spread out so you end up in a "T" formation.
Or, in my case, a "Y" formation. I have the flexibility of metal. . . . :-(

hahahahahaha
Ok, I'll clarify---- a handstand has nothing to do with cycling. Wow, it would be something if I could do a handstand on a moving bike though!! And yes, a side split is where you're legs are fully extended in a staddle position to the front. ...And don't feel bad, LJSChicago, I'm pretty much still in a "Y" too. hahaha

Cheers,
Dorian
