Dude, we almost have the exact same bike, 2009 P2 red ultegra build.  I just got off mine about 10 minutes ago.

I also will be living in Austin, TX starting Mid May. 

I am also racing CapTexTri olympic distance

Don't worry it's only the red bar tape that makes it fast!

From what it sounds like it's going to be quite the crowded race so maybe I'll run into you at some point. (hopefully not literally on the bike course)

I don't get why they won't stretch the bike out to make it a 2 or even three lap course.  From what I remember, the Austin Tri was a 3 lap course and I still felt cool riding around down town. 

Don't worry about running into me on the course, I plan to be running by the time you get on your bike.....zing!  Just kidding, we are probably pretty evenly matched, but my bike has the standard black bar tape

I'm not very fish like so if you're reasonably decent in the water you got a shot

They easily could have had the course go around and through downtown and cut it to a 3 lap course. Oh well guess half the fun will be dodging people.
