At least I can say I've done the full thing before. I haven't really started an specific training yet, I am not feeling the pressure yet because I only have to cycle 90k and cycling is my strong leg. Saying that, I am aware I can't get too complacent or else I will regret it!!! My previous cycle time was just over 3 hours - something like 3 hours and 1 minute I can't remember exactly. So ideally I want to go less than 3 hours this time, maybe something like 2:50. But we'll see because I don't see myself being able to get up into the hills every weekend like I was able to before Jacob came along!!! Anyway I plan to kick off the training with a 40-50k ride this weekend. I will just do one long ride every weekend and a shorter ride during the week until March, then kick it up to 3-4 rides per week. How is everyone else's training going? |
