Pro 4343 Olney, MD | Subject: RE: Artichoke Team Thread (Sept Run Challenge) Hi, The third week of September is over and the month is 66% finished. Here are our results through Saturday:
Top kudos to trainergirlmick, 1for1, and naners for staying ahead of the month. Ott, you've basically doubled your miles each week (17, 34, 70). Does this mean you'll do 140 this week? I don't know what's happened to Amy and I'm a bit concerned. Hopefully everything is OK. Matt and Jocelyn, please do as much as you can to bring up your miles. We're not yet done and we are definitey not out. Let's get out there an run! |

Pro 4343 Olney, MD | Subject: RE: Artichoke Team Thread (Sept Run Challenge) Amy is no longer MIA. The remnants of hurricane Ike knocked down trees in her area and she was without power for about a week. However, she kept on running! I've added her numbers to the spreadsheet but now I need to find out how to report the unlogged miles from last week. I'm sure we would have been in at least 6th place with those miles. |

Pro 4343 Olney, MD | Subject: RE: Artichoke Team Thread (Sept Run Challenge) With today's run I passed 100% of my goal and am now working on my biggest monthly run total ever. One more run on Monday or Tuesday. Unfortunately, none of my miles beyond my goal (38.5) count towards the team total. Let's keep running! |

Expert 707 Kansas | Subject: RE: Artichoke Team Thread (Sept Run Challenge) My question is this..... I've noticed that my body is little banged up after my last long run (nothing serious) I have a 23 mile run this Saturday and a few mile later that day.... So I will be at 160 miles come 9/28..... I would need to do 40 miles in 3 days..... What do I do? Part of me would really like to take it ez.... But another part of me says DO THE 200.... I will do what the popular vote says to do. Eric I'd love to see everyone make their goals, but it's pretty obvious that we aren't going to win this challenge and your 40 miles aren't going to matter much in the big picture. So, you should probably do what's best for your body. Edited by MDHillSlug 2008-09-25 10:02 AM |

Master 2231 Des Moines, Iowa | Subject: RE: Artichoke Team Thread (Sept Run Challenge) Hi Everyone! We are at the end of week 4. Here's the plan for wrapping up the challenge. 1) We will report numbers this weekend the same way we have so far. Get your numbers logged by Saturday and Team captains will send me results on Sunday. 2) Standings will be posted Monday morning by noon. 3) SUN - TUE will be the last days of our challenge. Get your numbers posted for those days by Tuesday night. 4) Team captains will send me the results from Sun to Tue on Wednesday. 5) I'll report the final challenge results on Thursday. Let me know if you have questions. Good luck to everyone!! Edited by shawn barr 2008-09-27 1:34 AM |

Master 2231 Des Moines, Iowa | Subject: RE: Artichoke Team Thread (Sept Run Challenge) Week 4 Results * NADS RULE once again! * Tomorrow is the last day!! Come on everyone, get as many miles toward your goal as you can!! (What am I saying! I have a few more myself - which I will get done - I won't let you down Okras!) * Remember that 100% is the highest you can go - unless there is a tie for 1st; then we'll look at additional miles run over the goal. * Remember, log your miles by tomorrow night (Tuesday), Captains will report on Wed, and I'll post final results on Thursday. * Please look over the spreadsheet for mistakes or omissions. Thanks!!! * BTW - there are some running ANIMALS in this challenge. I'm impressed.

For those who hit or crossed your mark, BRAVO!!!! For those who did not get to the mark, try harder, and remember, you have to try to succeed!
See you guys around BT! |
