Comments:

I hadn't run in a week because I was concerned with pain in my left knee area. Still worried about it race morning. Turns out I had other things to worry about as within the first 10 yards of the run I had sharp pain in my right knee. It was so bad that I thought i was going to have to stop before I even hit the mile mark. I started planning how I would get to the finish (it was in a different location from the start) to wait for Mark. However, I slowed things down a bit and as things loosened up the pain decreased. Still, there was enough discomfort that I decided the smart thing to do was to turn the full into a half. This turned out to be a very smart decision as a few miles later my left leg/knee area was acting up. The pain was from my lower hamstring down the back of my knee into the calf. I had been having this issue on my long runs for about a month. Really wish I knew what i did. At least it wasn't as bad as it had been. The right knee ended up feeling pretty good, so I don't know what caused the pain to begin with.
Outside of my issues, the run was nice. Watching the sun come up over the Atlantic makes for a nice Sunday morning.
What would you do differently?:

Not be hurt!
Post race
Warm down:

just walking around the area.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

pain and lack of talent.

Event comments:

This is a nice little race, the post race area was cramped this year as the parking lot where everything was staged was being renovated, so space was at a premium. Post race food and drink was pretty good - happily took advantage of the beer truck!

Good job! I think you handled all that REMARKABLY well... what do you mean "no talent"... silly, you are clearly very good at this running stuff, and listening to your body etc. That takes talent.

Great job!

Good call switching from the full to the 1/2. Injuries aside, it got REALLY hot on the course. I was collecting timing chips, and that was literally the first thing that every marathon finisher had to say.
