Subject: August Challenge Rules Here are the rules for the August Challenge. (Basically the same as the ultimate July scoring.) Each team member will set a goal for swim, bike and run in terms of either time or distance. Those team members that cannot swim, bike or run due to injuries, may set goals for what they can do. Additionally, team members that want to, can set core goals. The core goals can be set in terms of time, # of sessions, or # of [crunches or whatever]. Scoring will be as follows. Each team member will receive a % complete score for each goal (up to a maximum of 100%). Those % will be averaged to determine a total % complete for each member. The averages for each team member will be averaged to determine the team's completion %. (Sounds like Ford math to me ) For example: Team Member Swim Bike Run Core Avg% Tom 50% 30% 75% 47% 50% Dick 60% 25% 40% ---- 41% Harry 45% 70% ---- ---- 57% Team Average: 49% For ties, we'll use % of members at 100%.
