Swim
Comments: Not as good as I am capable of. Not sure what happened. Just never felt good in the water. Breathing was ok at first but then no matter which side I breathed on I was get splashed. Just swam through it but breathing did suffer. What would you do differently?: Get in the pool before hand to just make sure I have a good feel. Transition 1
Comments: It is a decent run into transition from the pool. I need to book it a little quicker. I always use it to get my bearings straight after jumping out of the pool though. New aero helmet went on ok. Flap on shoes came out when trying to get them on. Luckily this has happened before so I had practice and just kept moving and got it going. What would you do differently?: Just hold help part that goes over ears to put on smoother. Probably need to put in a zip to to keep strap from coming through. Only happens when feet didn't get dry enough. Bike
Comments: First race on Luci...pher (Felt B16) and after some tweaks in the fit. Wow, I love this bike! I was comfortable the whole time. Only one gear issue. One gear just doesn't want to change over right away. Will have to get that check out. Great ride over all. First time averaging over 20 in a race :) What would you do differently?: Not much. Could have probably pushed a little more but probably glad I didn't because run was strong. Transition 2
Comments: Took me waaayyy to long to get my shoes on. Will need to adjust the stretch laces a bit. Other than that I think it was ok. I can always improve here. Much better job this time of having things in a good order to transition quickly though. What would you do differently?: Practice! Run
Comments: I felt really good here. Great pace coming out. I was little slow on the last hill before turning around but great thing is it is right into a downhill. I was able to pick it up and get right where I wanted to be. What would you do differently?: Always can push harder on these distances :) Post race
Warm down: Walked around, cheered, stretched, got some food, and took a shower. What limited your ability to perform faster: Just the swim was the only thing I was dissappointed in. Just need more time there. Event comments: I have no complaints and they are always nice. I got to meet some of the REV3 people and talked to them about REV3 Williamsburg which was cool and got me excited for my first HIM! Last updated: 2013-01-10 12:00 AM

Was up at 3:30 to hit the road to drive down at 4:00. Had some apple sauce just to get something in my stomach. About two hours before race time I sipped on some gatorade and ate a banana.
Did a little running. I didn't get in the pool. I ran out of time getting packet picked up, changing, setting up transition.
