i'll probably hit war at shore and maybe at least 1 practice 1 - also the Sink Or Swim in early June.

I'll be doing all of them, primarily because they're only 5 minutes from my house.  Won't be resting/tapering for them (possibly the war, if I don't qualify for anything).

Am thinking about doing the Long Branch sprint...the longer course.  I didn't get into Wyckoff so am looking for another option around that time.

Haven't done any of their races before.  How well organized and supported are they?

the finale - war at the shore is chip timed and well run.  Doug Rice actually coached the newbies assembled through the job of breaking through the high 6 foot breakers this past year!  (hit them low he counseled which is what finally worked for me after a couple failed attempts).  the others are by definition informal.  i did not bike on the one i did since bike was canceled after the start delay due to fog - but you need to observe traffic signals and are on your own somewhat on the roads of the bike for the informal ones.  they have an option this year for a few extra bucks you can get a chip timing on the informals - that is new for this year.  i think they are a great brick - good experience - nice ocean start - and a nice low price.  good work out!

They are well run, pretty organized, but very informal.  I did the July one last year and will probably do it again.  It's also abut 5 minutes from our house.  I like them for the practice.

This year, there is an option to be timed for all 3.  it is a little extra, but if you want to know your splits...

also will be doing all 3 and War

I'll definitely be doing one or two of the informal ones in Long Branch.

This was my first ever tri, so for the sake of nostalgia, I'm heading back. Also, my best friend owns one of the condos right down the street, so I can crash at her place.

for the du and the 3 informal tris, do people bring race gear (aero helmets/race wheels) if they have them, or is it informal to the point of a training setup?

I believe people bring it all.  It's a great practice so I would do what you would in a more formal race.

Whatever makes you happy.  The first one, is a week before the Philly tri, so I am just trying to get some rust off.
