I'll be signing up too.  More importantly, I'll contribute a whole lot more than I did these past months!

Good to see you back.  Also I guess we should really talk about training for awhile since there might be new people : )

If we ever get moved out of development/staging.  What's the deal - are we minor leaguers or something?

We got a bunch of snow here today.  There were only 4 of us in the office at 1:00 today, everyone else had gone to work from home for fear of driving in the snow.  There are usually about 40 of us - I guess I work with a bunch of pansies.

Sounds like DC.  They call for snow and schools are cancelled.

I think they are giving the new groups time to get people first, we aren't even out of staging and allready have 5 or 6 people so far.  Last year they put everyone out at the same time and some groups only got 3-4 people to sign up.  My wife is in one of the groups, I told her not to sign up for this one because then I would have to watch what I saidLaughing

Only problem with this is it gives those groups more time to generate more pages, we'll have to have a day of discussing dinner plans, Tracy's seat or Steve's zit just to catch back up : )

Also a group of us are thinking about doing this race.

http://www.americanodysseyrelay.com/

Gettysburg, PA to DC, 200 miles.

Sounds like a blast, my only problem is I have a sprint on Sunday that I really want to do, it was the first one I did this year, 300M pool, 18 mi bike and 2 mile run, I want to sprint it this year.

I think I am going to ask the hubby for help tonight.  Every night this week I have had something to do that kept me from the gym.  Tonight will be no different ...well, except for one thing.  I am going to send the hubby out to the grocery store and have him start making my dish for the work x-mas party so I can go to the gym!!!   One of these days I'll learn I don't have to do everything myself.

Don't feel bad, my training has really suffered lately, the only thing I am trynig not to miss is my running since I am on a training plan.

I'm a little disappointed.  I wanted to get 100k swimming and set the goal back in October when I had about 67k - guess that didn't pan out too well.  I'm also surprised at the bike numbers, feels like I've spent a lot more time on the bike than that - guess I know what to work on next year.

My run numbers should be way up next year since I am doing a marathon.  My wife doing the same plan and schedule did over 700 last year.

Im at:

Bike: 2690 miles
Run 1117 miles
Swim 85106 yards

I am not sure how much I will get in before new years, but I can round that bike up a wee bit. I don't think I will get in 15000 yards swiming before new years with no pool here and 8.5 mlies in one week over vacation would probably kill me. I may start doing the 200 mile drive on weekends to get a swim in at least once per week during the winter.

This has really been an amazing year from never done a tri before this time last year to having done a sprint, oly and HIM and a half mary. Hopefully I can continue to build for next year.

And I found the micro metal cable shard that got through my tire, it was really hard to find. The old tire was getting well worn anyway so I have the new Michelin Pro3 race tires on her now, just need to have the ice on the roads melt (-10 F yesteday, -3 F today). On a positive note I am now competent at changing out tubes and tires with all the practice I have had this last week. I even found out that the hook end of the lever actually has a purpose, it hooks onto a spoke, who would have thought. And... inflating the tube somewhat before trying to fit it into the tread helps alot with avoiding pinching the tube. The boy can be tought.

Luck to all in the new year, may Santa decide to lose some weight, get in shape and bring triathlon gear to all. May you never run out of windmills to joust. May the road always rise up to meet your feet and may the sun always shine apon you. May you find peace within yourself so that you can be a beacon of light for all you meet. Always smile at to those who are miserable to you, it is the best way to make them even grumpier. Lend a hand to those in need and don't forget to enjoy your family over the holiday, not just endure them for without family, we are alone.

I was amazed when I learned that the hook goes on the spoke - what a difference!  Too bad I didn't learn that sooner...

I'll be interested to hear how you like those Pro 3's.  I'm this close > < to getting a set, but I might just hold off until closer to race season.

I like mine got a good deal on them from Ebay.  I was surprised how much better they rolled than the stock tires that came on my bike.

BTW make sure you sign up for the new group, There is allready quite a crowd there.

Signing up now.  Just to let you know, I've also signed up with Bob Stocks' group to get some more perspective as well, but I'd still like to be part of this group.
