Subject: WTB 53cm, 54cm, 55cm 650c Tri Frame
Does anyone have a low to moderate price Frame they would like to sell? I lost my QR Tequillo to a stress crack in the frame. I have 2 sets of 650c wheels and really don't want to start over with a new 700c frame. And I am in the process of builing a road bike. Don't have the cash at this moment for a new frame. Any and all would be considered so please dig in that basement or closet offer it to another BT'er to purchase.
Thanks, Wildbill

Don't have one to get rid of, but here's a possible alternative to used: Look on ebay for a Klein Aeolus. This is an "old school" tri bike frame, very stiff and fast, and only comes compatible with 650c wheels. There are none up for sale now, but periodically you'll see new ones on ebay, often going for $200 or less. My friend had one, and loaned it to me for my first tri. Shortly thereafter, he sold it, and he's regretted that ever since.

Here's a recent completed sale of a 55cm frameset: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320193789328&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=011

McFuzz has one of these as his tribike so you might want to ask him about it. He bought his on Ebay, as well.

Thanks for the info. But I have a nice set of HED 650c wheels and 2 other sets of trainers and a dura ace group from my existing bike. Basically I'm in need of a 650c tri specific frame.
Thanks, Billy

I appreciate the heads up on that, insideoutsports.com. It will be added to my favorites list. When I said moderate maybe I meant cheap. At the moment my tri bike account holds about 300.00 but still putting a little back here and there, when the accountant not looking (wife).
Appreciate your help. What about the Cervelo One frameset for sale. No knowledge on that frame and did'nt find any info when searched for it.
Thanks,

what it is we call new old stock... we are one of the biggest retailers for cervelo and occasionally they will find frames in there warehouse such as the 2004 p3 sl and the dual then we blow them out. in the case of the cervelo one it is new but circa 2002 it is a great bike but the reason i didn't mention it is because it is 700c ... good luck in your quest and if there is anything i can help you with let me know... i always like to help my bt friends with deals as i can..

Sweet bike.  Not sure of the entire history of mine.  It was listed as a 54, but feels substantially longer than that (I haven't taken a tape measure to mine).

Did a google search, and Klein had some proprietary headset/bb setups (which may explain why frames are cheap) so reusing your existing parts may not be trouble-free.

If you're willing to live with unsightly "gaps" you might consider a standard frame with long-reach brake calipers for your 650C wheels.  (Not sure about handling issues with this.

Wildbill,
I am selling a AEGIS T2 54cm frame that has some cosmetic damage if you are interested. It is fire engine red and takes 650's.
