Subject: suggestions for local pools?
i am moving to andersonville at the end of the month. Currently i live on the lake at randolph street so it is going to be a whole different world. Right now i go to Xsports on North ave for a pool but was curious if anyone knew of a place in or around andersonville. I will be living at clark and foster(actually winona but its close to foster). I saw there was a Ymca but its really the same price and not much closer. thank you for your help

I just left the YMCA by my house (Paulina) and rejoined XSport (Ashland), and while it is the same price ($47/month), XSport, I think is much better.

Keep in mind, the pool at the Y is MUCH smaller!

Truman College, they may have memberships. Lakeview Y, HighRidge Y, Saddle and Cycle, if you have big big bucks.

We swim through the Chicago Park District.

It's free. And it does the trick. And allows us to use that money toward tri gadgets and gizmos that we want.

And the pools are clean and heated (at least the indoor ones we've used are...at Sheridan Park and Ekhart Park).
