What distance would you recommend for a goal milage at the end of base period for a half ironman.
I was thinking something like 1.5 mile swim, 70 mile bike, and a 15 mile run.
Is there a recommended distance? i have found one so im wondering
What do you mean by goal mileage at the base period? Do you mean to be able to complete each session individually? If that is the case it will depend on many things like your fitness level, your strengths/weaknesses, your goals, and your time available for training.
In general for beginners I would say swim 2-2.5k, bike 45-56 miles, run 8-10 miles
Intermediate 2.5-3k, 56-65 miles, run 8-12 miles
Advance 3-4k, 56-75 miles, run 10-15 miles
Keep in mind that one session is not as important as the sum of all sessions (your total training load)
