Living here in the piney woods of east Texas, there aren't many options for running stores. So, a road trip is necessary. In general I'm a fan of "Luke's", but I know things vary from store to store for all retail operations. Does anyone have any experience with this particular location? Advice is appreciated.

I am not familiar with this specific location, however my wife and I frequent the Colleyville location for apparel, footwear and training programs. Most of the staff is friendly, two have a little attitude, but they are the exception.

Their pricing is in line with other running retail stores.

I just bought a pair of shoes from them (Lukes in The Woodlands) a month or so ago. It was a great experience. Showed me different shoes at all price levels. Watched the staff with other people too and they were all treated well without trying to upsell a bunch of stuff. They've got a treadmill in the store and will let you run around outside on the sidewalks in some shoes to see how they feel. I'd have no problems going back.

My first experience there was terrible. I had a kid who put me in too tight shoes and wouldn't give me a bigger pair because "that's what size your foot measured". So I left. However, after going with my dad and husband and seeing the attention they got I gave it another try. I've been back multiple times and had nothing but great service. Been there an hour plus a few times (I have really hard to fit feet) and they've been nothing but helpful with not only the shoes but training advice too. The last pair of shoes I bought aren't working for me, so I'm heading back there to exchange them. They have a 30 day return policy which is a good thing in my current case!

I also frequent the Colleyville location, and for the most part, they have been pretty nice.  One lady tends to get a little "snippy" when you ask questions, but all in all it has been a good experience.

I've had nothing but great experiences every time I go in there. Just bought a new pair of shoes there and the fitting was very well done. They have you walk barefoot on the treadmill to analyze your natural foot strike and then bring out 3-4 options to try on and test out. I have another running store a mile down the street from me but I would rather drive 20-30 minutes to go to Luke's in the Woodlands.
