It's obvious on th LP thread that we are all looking forward. A glance at my plan shows 6 weeks out at 19 hours: S-3,B-10,R-6.

I've been religously following my plan but I anticipate some of the outdoor rides may be longer than prescribed (YAY, OUTSIDE!).  So, I can see 20+ that week.

Yours? Not intended to be LP only or  who's got the most. Just curious to see the ranges in the plans. That, and its fun to look forward

I won't know it until I see it, and I'm cool with that. My coach never gives me my plans more than a few weeks out as each workout is done based on my response to previous week's training, etc. Right now, I am handing 13+ just fine; but that includes like 3:15 of aquajogging and not real running. As of now, he probably can't say for sure what it will be...I think a lot of it depends on how this whole running thing works out for me. I am prone to injury due to a handful of structural shortcomings, so my running is always up in the air...Grrr.

But, I'd image I'll be right around 20. Can't wait !

I think around 21-22 hours come June.  Lucky for me I'm not working. I'm not sure how I will be able to get long bikes/runs in while kids are in school as they aren't there long enough tfor me to finish.

My training outline has my last three build weeks before taper each with 100+ bike rides followed by up to 90' runs, 20-22 mile runs, and 4K yard swims. Just my 3 main endurance workouts will take 13-14 hours a week.

Before I signed up to to IMLP I asked my coach what typical training was and he sent me his normal last 6 weeks before an IM training plan.  Last weeks had long bikes 100 miles+ then a 50 mile ride, long run, long swim, then other workouts. Thing is to do a 100 mile ride for some takes 5 hours others who are slower takes a bit longer.

Part depends on how fast/slow I am then Plus my coach adjusts stuff based on how I'm doing, recovering and all that.

For me I like the long aerobic stuff. The interval and hard stuff is harder even though it is shorter..hurts more.

Last year for LP I peaked at ~24 Hours of training that included a Mid-Week Long Run and a weekend Long Ride. (100 Miles)

This year I am following a similar plan for CdA but I train by distance and not time and am faster than last year so total training time will probably be something less.

The peak week will look something like this:

Run: 70 Miles (Includes a Mid-Week 20 mile Long Run)
Bike: 200 Miles (Includes a Weekend 100 Miler)
Swim: 10,000 Yards (Mostly Open Water Ocean Swims)

FWIW: I do work full time and will likely be taking a day off from work to do the Ride and doing my Long Run early in the morning and coming in late for work that day.

Whew! Good thing you faster than last year

OWS - I plan on making good use of  my boat on the lake this year. I may actually be in the water more than the kids this year

Wasn't that your run/bike schedule for last week?

Wasn't that your run/bike schedule for last week?

Well, last week was ~18 hours of training and I only did 60 miles of running with no long run and no long ride.

My swim volume is way down as I am still ramping up my volume after my shoulder surgery. I am back up to a 1.2 mile Ocean Swim.

Week 9 was a cutback week

Looking ahead, it appears I peak out at about 19 hours.  I guess I should look a little closer and schedule a couple of vacation days .

Now that is a very cool brick workout.

I did a few "100 Bike/10 Run" Bricks last year and have a few in my plan for this year and it is a solid workout. I am hoping that I can work out the scheduling to get my first one done before my HIM at the end of this month.

Since I still haven't made my plan yet .......

I had a peak of about 15 hours for IMFL.  I'm guessing that will probably be in the same range for my LP training.  Much more than that and I risk divorce ......

I'm hoping they will be very cool bricks. Thinking about them, seems pretty daunting right now.

I tend to get pretty fatigued running in tris and my coach wants me to do more tri like running in hopes I improve and my body gets better at handling it. I know it isn't standard but may help me more.

Looks like I will peak at about 16 hours, but I have been doing a bit more than the plan calls for most weeks so far. More bike time would be the likely culprit for me as I love riding and will do as much as I can once the weather and daylight allow.

Biggest week will likely be 24-25 hours of SBR. Broken down at 12-15km Swim, 250-300 miles Bike, 30-40 miles Run. I had a couple of weeks of 23-24 hours leading up to IMF last year.

Ditto.

Longest ride on my plan is 5 hrs. When I questioned it I was told it's about intensity not duration. And while I hear that, just like I wanted to run a marathon before this I want to ride 112 as well. With only one century under my belt I NEED to better that by 12 miles at least once!

I'm doing a training camp in April that's going to have a huge bike focus.  So that's likely to be pretty massive.  I'm taking the week off of work, and going to AZ ( Tuscon ).

Apart from that, I'll have a few ( 1-3 or so ) that will likely be 20+.  Depending on how things work out.

Most of my big volume weeks are bike focused.  Coming from Chicago and doing a June IM, my running has been going strong all winter, but I've got some catching up to do on the bike.

I just received my new training plan and in four weeks I have ~ 17 hour week just short of 4 months out from IMLP. Maybe my top volume will be higher than I thought. When you are slower doing long just takes more time.

My peak week for CDA last year was about 20 hours. That included my peak weekend which consists of riding the entire IM CDA course with a short transition run Saturday and then running the CDA 1/2 mary on Sunday morning. It's a great race rehearsal and a final opportunity to spend time on the course before race day.

I'm planning on doing the same thing again this year.
