I'm going off 5th (after the elites), at 9:05:40. So, hopefully, I won't be constantly swimming over people like last year.

I'm starting at 9:33:20, #163.

What's gonna be weird is that I'll probably be finished before the last swimmer is done. That's never happened to me before!

There's a break not too long after me. I wish I was closer to the break ahead of me. I hate trying to pass people. I put my realistic time in, I hope the others in my flight did as well....

9:16:30 for me. I see at least two folks ahead of me that I am usually faster than in the pool. I dropped my time from last year. But, like Suzanne, I wanted to be as realistic as possible. I still think people are forgetting their yards vs. meters conversion (or they are living in fantasy land thinking they can hold some ungodly pace per100 for 500!) It's all good!! See everyone Saturday! Now Jim is where he belongs. Dude, you're a fish!

I don't think we were supposed to do any conversion... now I may not be remembering this right, but I swear I thought Set Up asked for our 100 yard time that we could expect to hold over the distance of the tri (in this case, 500 m).

If they were asking for our 100 meter time, I may be a few seconds off. I basically put what I held per 100 for the first 500 of a recent 1000 yd TT. I'll probably be a little faster than that in a race situation so if it was supposed to be 100 meter time I may be ok.

Well then. This will explain why I see a few folks that are a tad slower than me ahead of me in the start times. I did the conversion. Oh well.

I sent in a pretty accurate time last year, but swam over literally 10 people in front of me. so this year i sent in one that was a bit faster than I'm probably capable of swimming this year, to hopefully compensate a bit. I did check the people out who are starting immediately in front of and behind me, and i seem to be in about the right position. We'll see...

Pam, I didn't see Scott's name on the registration. He must have KID duty.
