27:42 gets me overall 2nd in a 5k

ran a 5k sat. they had a 5k and 10k simultaneously. anyways me and the leader came up to a water station 1.6 miles in according to my garmin. we asked the guy if it was turn around for 5k he said no go a little further. we did and came to the 2 mile sign, we decided to turn around there. got back to the water station and they had turned everyone else around. it took us to about 400 yds. to go till we caught the last person. he got 1st i got second. ran my first 4 mile 5k.
