The French Laundry is at the northern most point of that route. Don't bother going to the start of the route ... nobody lives there ... really, don't try it ... I'm serious. Train is leavin' at 7am. Master 2356 Fenton, MI | Subject: RE: Let's try this again....4/19-20th?? Nope, we only got 35 in. It was a shake out ride for my tri bike and my buddy's that was literally assembled last night. His was not dialed in at all. His saddle clamp lost its bond to the seat post and started turning. We decided we better head home after that. Besides that, he was running on one brake at that point. This was my first notable outdoor ride of the year so I was okay with it. I've got my endurance rides planned on Saturdays from now until the fall. I'll post them up in here and I welcome anyone that wants to go. I'm not the most experienced rider, but I'm trying to take a fast track to get there.

I'm always at Kensington or Stoney and while I love riding at both of those, I get kinda bored doing the same loops so I'm always looking for some other places to ride. |

I'm in Fenton, so if I head east and south, and you go north and west, that puts us on the south end of Holly Rec, Ortonville, and Clarkston. Should be lots of options. I still need to figure out the route to get to Kensington from my house. Its due south. It can't be too tough. I wish Google maps had some designation for dirt roads. |

Not sure where your at but from the Fenton area you can get to Hickory Ridge Rd and take it south, then I'm not certain, but near the proving grounds I believe on the south side you can take that road west to Kensington Rd, then head south and bingo your there. I'm sure there's a paved way to Milford too, just not familiar with it. Due to my advanced age and that it's been several years since I've been up that way, I could be completely wrong. The main problem with that route is the amount of truck traffic on Kensington heading to the gravel pit. It can create serious pucker factor at times. And of course I don't recall the condition of the road or shoulder. |

The other part of the problem was that I was going my memory .... I was on the wrong road to start with. I can zoom in pretty well on google and Hickory Ridge looks best. I can't tell of a section is dirt though. I'll just keep trying it until I figure it out. |
