who's with me?   I'll read every single one of them.  I try to learn something from all of them, and let them inspire me in their own little way.  I usually get some goose bumps from reading the IM reports.

I'll be checking the RR forum every 5 or 10 minutes from here on out.  Less recovery, more writing, people!

Yeh, me too especially the one of the woman that got cut off on the bike last year by just minutes.

Can someone point me to her username.

Me too!

They already inspired me yesterday. I had a rough treadmill run, but I started thinking about how tough the AZ course was and it made me push harder. I really didn't want to get on that trainer but I thought about the people who DNF and who wanted more than anything to be out there racing... and it made me suck it up and get the job done.

I'm sure there will be a lot more tough mental/physical IM training days to come, and I will think about those athletes before me to get through it.

I'm looking forward to reading them as well.

From past Ironman races folks often don't get them done for a few days...so keep checking back all week. They tend to be long and detailed which makes them excellent reads.

Given the brutal race conditions out there, these reports will not disappoint. I took tomorrow off of work as well (spa day for recovery!) so I'll have time to write mine up. The rest of my body feels like I got run over by a Mac truck, but thankfully my fingers aren't sore.

Reading these reports really makes me all emotional. My husband is doing his first IM this August and I'm probably going to be more of a wreck than he is.

...I know I'll do one some day down the line, but every last person who started has inspired and motivated me more than they'll ever know. Thank you for sharing this intimate piece of you with all of us!
