OK, so who is racing the Boston Marathon on Patriots Day. The weather reports are probably giving you fits but at least your not gonna be racing in a Nor'Easter this year

Like in previous years, the BAA will be offering live updates from the course with 5k split times through the race. For the good of the group, please post your bib# if you wish to be tracked. I will post a spreadsheet later on in the week with the Bib#s in a 'Watching Thread'.

Of course, since the race is on a Monday, we will probably get a lot of activity on the thread since everyone will be at work instead of out getting in some quality training.

If nothing else, best of luck Boston Kids

Bib 16094--this is my first.

There are a  bunch of us who have been posting on the MA forum board for a while.  I refuse to believe today's weather forecast.  Yesterday, it was supposed to be sunny and 50F. I am going to hold onto that dream.

Yes, Versus has been advertising that they will be televising it!

Of course, if you come visit me here in MA, you can watch it on 3 or 4 different channels.  Or you can drive 45 minutes to the start and see the mayhem in person!

I tried searching for it on my tivo and there was no listing for the race. I will look through the guide on Monday morning.

Thanks for the offer to come to Boston to watch the race. I would prefer to run in it but that dream is a little far away right now.

I won't be running, but I live about a mile from the start, and the sprint triathlon that I am training for bikes part of the marathon route (backwards....that first big downhill coming off the start line is a doozy uphill in the middle of the bike course).  Good luck to all of you!  I usually watch from Ashland center if I can get there!

#6091.

Round 2 for me.  We'll see how it goes as to whether or not I go back for round 3 next year.

Plan is to just enjoy the run and make sure to beat last year's miserable time.  I'll be really happy with anything under 3:30 (which shouldn't be too hard to get unless I go too hard early and blow up again).

LOL. Yup - due date is 5/5 Cinco de Mayo, but you never know if I'll have to break off the race to get to the hospital! :-)

I do all my runs with my cell anyway, for safety, and my wife's ease of mind... so that's no biggie. I'm just hoping it doesn't ring that day :-)

Looks like a beautiful weekend for yours and all the families to be in Boston!
