Subject: I sold my bike on Ebay
If anyone is wondering about selling an old bike that is actually worth something, I am going to plug ebay.  I tried for a full year to sell my Trek 2100 on craigslist and several local bike shops classifieds.  All I got was an offer for 100 bucks.  Not gonna happen!  I placed it on ebay and bam, in 1 week it is sold, for the price I wanted, and the buyer paid for shipping- All I had to do was drop it off at my LBS and they packed it and shipped it Fed-Ex for me.  I wish I had done it sooner, but I was unsure of how to go about the shipping aspect.  Ask your LBS if they can do the same for you (they do charge for the packing AND the shipping but you can include that in your shipping costs).  Just a little FYI for peeps with a bike hanging around you've wanted to sell but haven't gotten around to doing so.  Happy riding!

I'm glad it worked out for you.

I've bought and sold several bikes off of Ebay and have had pretty good success with one small snafu, which was corrected.
