Ladies, here's some info on a ride/clinic Sorella is putting on. I'm going to go as I haven't done many group rides and some training would be nice. Also may be a good place to meet some new riding partners.

WOMEN's ONLY Beginner road ride/clinic: Date: 5/17/08

Time: 10:00am RTR (Ready to Ride)
Location: Silver Comet Depot Parking Lot, 4342 Florence Rd
Distance: 30 miles Pace: 12-14 mph
Details: Working on riding in a group, maintaining a double pace line, holding your line, calling obstacles, handling traffic and nutrition.

Come join Melissa Mathews and Anne Ledbetter to learn how to ride in a group. They'll will have a brief talk and practice on a 30 mile easy ride on the silver comet. Sorellas and Non Sorellas are invited RSVP if possible on the forum, or just come out and have fun with everyone! Sorella Cycling

Oh, I wish I could go! But I have to move that day. Thanks for the info though. I'll be up there tonight if anyone is interested in joining me.

I'm definitely in for this, in fact, it's exactly what I've been looking for.  I need to learn to ride in a group and the pace looks great.

I did this ride last year and it was a blast.  Learned how to ride in a pack and pace line where everyone took their turn pulling.  The Sorella ladies brought water melon for after the ride (which I might add we got drenched during).
