Subject: second hand bike, which to buy?

i have come across a trek5000 and an oreba orca local to me for very little money it would seem

which 1 is the better bike for climbing? i am a nonth out from ironman france, and have been doing all my training on a ambrosio solaro { very heavy entry road bike} and i cant help but think that the gods are smiling down on me , putting 2 full carbon bikes for sale so close to me.

if fit was good on both bikes, which one would be better ??

500 euro for the orca

300 for the trek.

i have to get 1 of them. after a year training on my heavy old bike this should give me an edge.........shouldent it??

Going strictly on age and technology progression, the Orbea is my choice.

The Trek looks mid-90's vintage at best, the Orbea will most likely be 10%-plus lighter.

No comparison in my book.
