Pre-race routine:

Rode for 10 minutes with some pick ups. Ran for 5 minutes. Walked around and checked out bikes. Talked to people, friends.

Good run until about mile 4 and I didn't feel right. THen a friend passed me and I had to stay with him and I felt better. Weird!

I don't know my actual time on the bike, I am going by my watch. It was a decent bike for me. I pushed real hard to beat my friend, but he beat me at the finish line. I have not done much on the bike so I am Happy with the ride.
Oh I almost forgot, they were giving away a few prizes as you crossed the finish line. So the guy says, congratulations, you have won a koobi bike seat. I was like, cool, he says i will send you a gift certificate in the mail. I haven't seen the gift certificate yet. Oh well.

This is a great early season duathlon. I had fun with it last year too!

I ALSO BEAT MY TIME BY 3:40 FROM LAST YEAR ON THE SAME COURSE! i WAS SO HAPPY AT THE FINISH LINE.
