hey, the whale is back up!  i did it two years ago.  it will challenge anyone to call iowa "flat".  and, the aid stations smell like lake water.

what do you want to know?

Yeah.  I did this race in 2005.  Like Noz said, hills, hills, hills...

The bike is moderately rolling, nothing killer.  The swim is short (1000) in waist deep water through seaweed.  The run will kill an average man.  There are a couple of hills that are straght up.  And I mean  STRAIGHT up.  Better train to run hills if you're considering whaletown.
