Has anyone done this race? I'm looking for a *very* late season 1/2 to do this year.... and this one seems like the winner...... is it well run? Fun? Any feedback or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thx in advance,

Debbie

I did this race last October - looks like they haven't chosen a date yet for this year due to the AZ Cardinals schedule not being finalized yet.

The swim began with a walk down some bleacher style steps into the water, where we treaded water for a few minutes.  It was supposed to be a one loop swim, but some buoys were "missing" so we did the 1/4Man loop 2x.

The bike is pretty flat - but was pretty windy the day of the race.  Out and back 2x.

Run was great - also 2 loops.  Also relatively flat.

The race was GREAT! Awesome volunteers, the race director is cool, they had wetsuit strippers and sunscreen appliers too!  They gave away a lot of prizes at the end - cool things like Kestrel carbon fiber handlebars, etc.

Definitely do it!
