So while I was riding this morning, I was greated with a big detour sign down near the Shedd Aquarium and I was a little pressed for time so instead of going on an adventure to figure out how I get to the other side of the path (past the Shedd) I turned around and went back up north.

Does anyone know where you go for the detour?  I can go "exploring" next time I have more time, I just thought I would see if anyone knew.

Thanks!

Yeah, instead of going around the back end of the Shedd, it takes you up and in front of the North side of the Field and then in between the Field and the Shedd.   Long story short, they are putting an under pass under McFetritch and it will probably be torn up till next summer.

So, forgive me if this is a stupid question, so do I go up the ramp towards the front of Shedd then (instead of around the outside curve along the lake), and then it will drop me out where I can get back on the path on the other side?

No idea.  Haven't done it.  From what I understand, though, it is fairly well marked.

Ok, so I figured it out this morning...and then on my way back up north, I hit a woman who decided to walk right in front of my bike after I yelled out, "On your left."  I was only going about 12 -13 mph, so I don't think I hurt her too bad.

Good times!
