Subject: Infinit Nutrition foaming?
I love the sports drink I get from Infinit Nutrition, but I can't stand the foaming. It's seems like a quarter of the bottle is filled with undrinkable foam after mixing, and it can be even worse when I mix a 3-hour bottle. I've taken to filling the bottle until all the foam runs out of the bottle, but when I do that I lose some of the drink -- wasting money and calories. But even when I do get rid of the foam, the agitation from running or biking causes an half empty bottle to build up a good head of foam, leaving the last squeeze or two undrinkable.

Has anyone come up with a solution to prevent Inifinit from foaming up so badly?

I have the same problem.  I just try to remember to mix it up well in advance so that the foam will settle.  Then I top it off and don't have to worry about any loss from spilling out the foam.  I really don't have any suggestions for it foaming up while out on your workouts.

It foams because of the protein that is in it.  I mix mine the night before I plan on using it, put it in the fridge, and then in the morning the foam is gone and I gently add more water to it.  You can try slowly filling it up on an angle or putting the water in first, and then adding the mix.  All of those should reduce the foam.

I have the same problem with my long course formula as there is protein in it. The protein in the cause of the foam. I have two solutions for the problem- 1) fill the bottles almost to the top with water and then add the powder. If I do it this way, I get no foam and have no problems mixing the bottles. 2) as the posters above mentioned - make the bottles in the pm and allow to settle overnight and just top off with water in the am.

Hope these solve your problem!

I switch to a run blend (marathon) that I have the protein set at zero. My blend has a low protein level (dialed down) so it probably doesn't foam as much on the bike. I do fill them very slowly to the top and shake. Not as much room for foamage.

I put almost zero protein in all my blends. I usually drink a protein drink after my workout.

It wont help with agitation while training, but when mixing it, DEFINITELY stir in the mix instead of closing the water bottle and shaking it.  It will all dissolve when stirring, but it won't foam at all.

I had the same problem with perpeteum and accelerade, and the above worked very well to resolve the problem.  I'm never on a run long enough to need the protein, so don't take such products on my runs where they'd get sloshed around... and on the bike there's not nearly as much continuous "shaking" that causes them to foam.  I'm surprised your having that problem on the bike.
