Subject: Changing the day in 1/2 to full plan

I downloaded the 1/2 to full IM training plan for IMFL which falls on Saturday November 1.   The plan appears to be designed for a Sunday race, because the long bike ride of each week is falling on Friday.  I could probably just download it with an end date of Nov 2, but I don't want to mess up the planned taper just before the race.

Any ideas on how to change the schedule so that the long training falls on the weekend rather than on Friday?

I would download the plan to end on Nov 2 so that the plan lines up better with long rides/runs.  Then the week or two before the race, you can adjust (move) those weeks up one day to preserve the taper as written for race day.  It will be only one day that you will lose...either a rest day or adjust some workouts to account for that lost day.
