As some may know, I had a broken seat post clamp (which is bonded into the carbon frame and cannot be replaced) that took Blackbird out of commission after Eagleman this year.  After stripping her down and taking her into the local Felt dealer they had the rep come in and warranty the frame.  Took about 3 weeks or so after I dropped off the broken one to get it replaced.

Here she is, all built up, dressed for battle and ready to set the course on fire tomorrow.  I (re-)introduce Blackbird V2.0.

She is an '08 Felt B2 Pro frame with full Dura Ace everything (177.5 mm cranks with 53/39 chainrings and an 11-21 cassette for racing), Visiontech carbon Trimax R-bend one piece bars/stem/aero extensions and wearing a sexy pair of Zipp 999 tubulars with 19mm Continental Podiums on her.

Enjoy the peep show!

Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's bike....thou shall not covet thy neighbor's bike....thou shall not covet thy neighbor's bike....thou shall not covet thy neighbor's bike....thou shall not covet thy neighbor's bike.

Very cool bike.  You know you are putting a tremdous pressure on yourself.  With a bike like that you are morally and ethically obligated to place 1st on the bike in your AG!

Hey, is that a satin finish instead of a high gloss or is that just the picture?

If you could have an issue every year, you'd get a fancy new one all the time! -hehe

I do have an issue every year ....... it's called "new bike envy."

My old boss is already working on me to buy the new TCR Advanced SL from Giant that he got to demo out in Utah when Giant brought him and the other top 100 Giant dealers out.  Problem is, even employee purchase price on it (if they even offer it) would be ridiculous and out of my budget!

I am usually easily top 5% of the bike field overall.  Problem is I am still rather lacking in the water. Tongue out

It is probably the picture/shadow as it is the same carbon finish as the '07 was.  Just different graphics.

Oh, and I'm #619 tomorrow.  6th wave doing the oly.

That is one pretty bike.

And thanks for the reminder to put the anti-friction stuff on the seat post on my Blade.

If that was in my house, I'd just stare at it all day long. Then my wife would get jealous and run it over with her Jeep. Then I'd have to get a new bike AND a new wife. For that bike, it may still be worth it.

Enjoy it, sir.
