Subject: Kudos to Litespeed

Two weeks ago found a crack in my titanium frame.  Sent it back, they are sending out a 2008 frame and seat post next week under warranty.  two weeks for warranty turnaround, well done Litespeed (I let them know I am training for IMAZ and pumkinman).

They weren't sure what caused the crack but said it made sense that I was hearing some creaks, and made a small crack worse.  Inspect your bikes!

I'll have to deal with whether my fork works with thenew frame, but not a big deal.

Gotta love a company that stands behind their products!

Sweet and nice of your buddy to lend you a bike that you can ride in the mean time!

Happy training Chris

A lot of people are quick to post negative things about companies and or their services. I for one like to remember little things like this for when I am making future purchases. Thanks for the post and good luck at IMAZ.

I am curious was the crack on the welded joint?

A very good company that takes care of its patrons.  I have heard this before about them!  If you are into titanium they are at the tops.

Geez, they aren't sending you a new fork to match it as well??

Great to hear a positive customer service from a company.  I haven't had many of those experiences lately!

Sorry, was out of town,  yes, started on the welded top tube seat tube joint (rear) then migrated around to each side of the top tube

One of our riding buddies recently completed RAGBRAI on his 2006 Giant.  During the last couple days of the ride, he noticed a creaking sound.  On a ride just after RAGBRAI, he found a pretty large crack on the welded joint at the top tube/seat stay (?).  He took the bike to his LBS and got it sent off.  The new frame arrived at the LBS within two weeks.

There are defintely some good businesses out there!

Great news Chris!

I love my QR, which is owned by the same comany (ABG).

Hope the fork works. Not sure why it would not?

Basically exactly what happened to mine.

And Joe, the specs for the new 08 show the same fork, so it should work.  I am not up on the technical aspects of it all.
