G'day all,
my name is aidan, im a 17 year old student from Westfields Sports High in Sydney (down under), and after 10 years of running and 2 of cycling ive decided its time to learn how to swim properly and start triathlons. My first will be 750m/20km/5km at the regatta centre (venue of the 2000 olympics for rowing) so i will definately be needing some tips for the race

look forward to talking with u all,
Aidan

Hey Young Pro,

Welcome.  Jump in the pool.  Or the forum or both.  Read and post often.  It's what keeps the place alive.

Australia huh? I'll be heading down there in the May of 2005 to do my student teaching. I'm looking forward to it. As far as the forums at what not, you will enjoy them. I know I do. And yes, the swimming will come to you. I was in the same boat with the biking and running. Looking forward to seeing your results.

hiya Aidan, nice to have you here.I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but if you don't have a copy of Total Immersion you should definately get a copy.  I've just started rereading mine and I had forgotten just how great it really is.

Again, great to have you here and looking forward to reading your posts.
