Subject: face masks

I really hate the cold/windy weather on my bikes and runs now that it's getting colder. Anybody recommend a good face mask/sheild for runners?

I could search the web but I'm too lazy, plus you guys have never failed me in the past.

I assume you mean Balaclava?  Face masks are for robbing banks.

Anyway....check out those made by Pearl Izumi, Bellwether and Giordana.  I have one of each and wear two on really cold days.  Most all balaclavas are made of technical fabric, not cotton, therefor they shed sweat and moisture and keep you warm.  Your local bike shop should have some in stock.

lol, actually i wanted to get a gunny sack and poke out two eye holes and go running around town.

balaclava, I've never heard that before, sounds pretty Russian. I get wiser everyday, thanks!

mmmm. . . baclava! LOL. I'd never heard the term balaclava . . .had to google that, but it made me think of this delicious treat. I'm so glad I live in Louisiana where we have about a month of cold-ish weather.
