I have been doing short distance tri's for 6 years without ever having my bike fit to me. This year I am moving up to a Half, or two, and figure it is about time to optimize my position. Does anybody have a recomendation for a good tri bike fit in the NW suburbs?

I live in Round Lake, but for a good fit, I will travel.

Thanks,
Eric

Give Bob at Wheel Werks in Crystal Lake a call. He has attended many a clinic and knows his stuff.

Mission Bay in Elk Grove or I would drive into the city and go to Get a Grip or my third choice would be to go to EndureIt in Naperville.

I would go to Get a Grip in the city.  It is well worth the drive.

I di not think Village Cycle Sport is Fist certified or any certified.  When I was fitted for the bike I bought there The guy lefted up the bike pedal and had me pedal for a bit and then went ok is that about right.  I did buy a hybrid but the experience made me wonder.  Espically since they had a bike trainer setup on the side when would be real easy for me to go on so they can check my fit.

I too, checked out Village Cycle Sport in Elk Grove Village...and wasn't too impressed with their "fitters". I test rode a Cervelo Soloist Team at that location, and the guy helping (?) me didn't know a whole lot about bike fit and just seem really disinterested the entire I was there. Although I did like the bike, I seriously doubt I would ever purchase from them.
