Hey there. As you can see I am currently living in the Midwest. I've found a great group to train and race with, so I'm a happy girl (or should I say woman since I'm in my early 30's--nah I'm a girl deep down).

I'm trying to learn quickly as my first race is in May. Please be patient with all my gear questions, after all, there is so much to buy (mostly bike stuff)! I was on the swim team as a kid, I've done some bike trips and commute by bike, but I hate running (hopefully Chi Running with help with this point). I'm quite excited about this website and am using the Olympic training guide from this site -- I'll have to post questions about this later. I wish you all well...

Train strong and smart!

First let me welcome you to BT, you will find many here will be able to anser any question you can think of. Second, you are only as old as you feel, so if you feel like a happy girl, then a happy girl you are. I know some days I feel like a kid, while other days I feel like I am 102. lol

Hi there, I just signed up at this cool forum today - I also signed up for my first triathlon (Post college, post 25 lbs gained... argh I did one once before, but I swear I was in a diff body in a diff universe)

Anyway, I signed up for the Danskin one in Pleasant Prairie July 10. I figured being all women it might be a gentle transition back to the land of the fit and fast.

I am also from Madison, also struggling to stay a girl in my early 30's..

Where do you train, is there a good group for beginners in town?
